Pre-Law event on Tuesday, March 26: Spring law panel at Virginia Tech

Representatives from the following law schools are scheduled to be on this year's law panel at Virginia Tech: the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Wake Forest University School of Law, and the William & Mary Law School. The panelists will comment on topics of interest to pre-law students such as how to decide whether to pursue a legal career, how to prepare for law school, the application and admissions processes, issues of timing and financial aid, what life is like as a law student, and career choices available to those with law degrees. The panelists will also hold a question and answer session with the audience.

The spring 2019 law panel is open to all members of the University community and is likely to be of particular interest to those considering the possibility of a legal career. It will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, in 3100 Torgersen Hall, on Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus. Pre-Law Google Group for VT students, faculty, and staff

A pre-law Google Group is available on an entirely optional basis to Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff who wish to receive pre-law announcements and other information about pre-law studies at Virginia Tech. Only those who sign themselves up (join) will be added to this group.

To join the pre-law Google Group, please follow these instructions:

Log into your VT email account (at Click on the Google Apps icon in the top right corner of the webpage and click on the Groups icon from the drop-down menu. Enter "prelaw" (no hyphen) in the search bar and click on "" Click "Join Group," follow the further instructions, and you will be added to the Google Group. Joining the pre-law group is not required to pursue pre-law studies at Virginia Tech. In addition, the pre-law group does not eliminate the need to refer to the pre-law website, which contains general information and advice on pre-law studies as well as links to other pre-law resources.
